A Hammocking Tip

There have been several questions concerning insulating your Green Armadillo Backpacker Hammock. When you sleep on the ground heat gets trapped between your body and the ground. If you are sleeping in a hammock, that heat is lost because the distance between you and the ground increases therefore causing you to lose that important body heat..well here is a simple solution to fix this! The easiest way to keep your hammock insulated is to put your sleeping pad at the bottom of the hammock before you get in with your sleeping bag. We also recommend using a ultralight backpacking pillow for increased heat retention and comfort. When you do this, the heat will now be trapped between you and the sleeping pad. For those of you who just can't wait until summer to get out to the back country, this is a simple solution for you to stay toasty on those cold spring nights. As always, thanks for choosing Green Armadillo Gear for your outdoor adventures!

You might find a Green Armadillo Hammock......

There are many of you out there who are wondering what a Green Armadillo Hammock is? One of our primary goals as a company is to enable you to experience mother natures backyard. Get off your couch, Gear up and GO! Green Armadillo is a brand of ultralight backpacking hammocks for anyone! Most people who have ever sat in a hammock will agree that they are extremely comfortable. Hammocks used to be something you would find in the backyard gathering dust and not being used as often as they should. The traditional hammocks also came with a high price because you had to buy a hammock stand if there were no trees, and they are not very portable. With Green Armadillo this is no longer the case. Our hammocks are extremely portable and light weight. All come equipped with a name brand Edelweiss tree kit so you know you can trust the rope that is holding you in the air. Unlike other similar brands, we offer COLOR and variety in our products. Our hammocks can hold 400 pounds and they weigh only a pound. There is nothing more comfortable than a hammock in the wilderness. Green Armadillo hammocks can be used as a chair or a bed. If you are the type of person who doesn't make it to the backcountry as often as others, you can take your hammock to the park for a picnic or a day out. Wherever the wind blows you, Gear up and Go with Green Armadillo! If you have any more questions regarding Green Armadillo Gear visit us at www.greenarmadillogear.com and click on our FAQ section.

Forget your tent and gear up and go. Many of you may be wondering why you would drop your tent for a hammock...well here a few reasons why.

1- GA hammocks are extremely lightweight (1lb) and they can fit in the palm of your hand. Unless you pay more than $200.00 you can't find that in a tent.

2- Not only can you leave your tent behind, you can leave your sleeping pad behind! Green Armadillo single and double hammocks are way more comfortable than sleeping on one inch of foam.

3- GA hammocks work as a seat and a bed.

4- GA hammocks are elevated above the ground and allow one to "Chill in the Trees" have you ever got to a camp site and tried to find level ground to set up camp on but couldn't? With a GA hammock you can sleep on any slope because you are not on the ground!! Not only is this better for back country camping but it supports the "No Trace Camping" guidelines.

5- Set up and take down is more than easy. It literally takes less than one minute to set up or take down the hammock.

6- Have you ever bought a tent that wouldn't fit back in the bag after? This doesn't happen with our handmade hammocks. The stuff sack is carefully crafted to minimize volume but allow for maximum capacity of storage of the hammock without the hassle of putting it away when you take it down.

and so on and so on..... if this doesn't convince you to switch from traditional tent camping to hammocking, I don't know what will!!! check us out at http://www.greenarmadillogear.com/
