A Hammocking Tip

There have been several questions concerning insulating your Green Armadillo Backpacker Hammock. When you sleep on the ground heat gets trapped between your body and the ground. If you are sleeping in a hammock, that heat is lost because the distance between you and the ground increases therefore causing you to lose that important body heat..well here is a simple solution to fix this! The easiest way to keep your hammock insulated is to put your sleeping pad at the bottom of the hammock before you get in with your sleeping bag. We also recommend using a ultralight backpacking pillow for increased heat retention and comfort. When you do this, the heat will now be trapped between you and the sleeping pad. For those of you who just can't wait until summer to get out to the back country, this is a simple solution for you to stay toasty on those cold spring nights. As always, thanks for choosing Green Armadillo Gear for your outdoor adventures!
